Private Pilot License
For those who want to start in helicopters, learning the right skills at the beginning is key. At the Ohio Flight Center you have the opportunity to learn from a experienced flight instructor to not only learn the basics, as also getting a insight in more advanced flying. Helicotpers are very challenging to fly, this requires a lot of trainig and dedication of the student pilot. We highly recommand a discovery flight to feel the controlinputs and the behaviour of a helicopter when you can be at the controls.
Commercial Pilot License
After obtainig a privte pilot license, you should go fly and get your hours and experience levels up. Getting a commercial pilot certificate, a CPL, will allow you then to fly for hire or compensation. In the helicopter industriy, there are a wide range of mission profils. At the Ohio Flight Center we want to give you insight in most of them, to share a reasonable amount of skills and expereince. But every job lateron will require special on job trainig. Certified Flight Instructor
Becoming a certified helicopter instructor is a very rewarding moment. You need to have many different experiences and very good flying skills to be able to teach in a helicopter.
Most flight schools have a fleet of Robinson helicopters. So do we at the Ohio Flight Center. You will learn how to fly a R22 and a R44 already in the beginning, so becoming a CFI on those helicopters will give you most opportunities to work later on as a CFI.
